Helping shelter animals

For the last few months I've been doing consulting work with ACCT Philly in their behavior department. Shelter animals are my passion and I've been loving the work. It's fast-paced, grueling, ultra-rewarding and incredibly heartbreaking. The staff and volunteers there are inspiring, hard-working and dedicated and I'm honored to have been asked to help them while they staff back up in the behavior department.

ACCT Philly is the Philadelphia region’s largest animal care and control service provider, serving the City of Philadelphia by contract. ACCT Philly manages the city’s animal shelter facility in North Philadelphia handling nearly 18,000 animals, from dogs and cats, to small animals, reptiles, birds and wildlife, annually.

Please consider helping ACCT in the following ways:

- Volunteer your time! You can work directly with the animals, or do lots of other things (like stuffing KONGS or helping customers) that don't involve direct animal care. They are open 7 days a week and volunteers are needed every day.

- Foster an animal. So many puppies, kittens, dogs and cats all need a temporary place to crash while they find a home.

- Donate money or supplies. Here is the wish list!

My availability to take on new clients will be limited through the summer since I'll be at ACCCT but if you are in need, reach out and we'll see if we can connect. If I can help you, I'd love to!
