Why choose Taking the Lead Dog Training?
I have encountered a diverse range of behavioral issues.I have vast experience in dealing with a wide range of situations and behavioral challenges.
What’s the process to begin working with Taking the Lead Dog Training if my dog is showing aggressive behavior(s) towards people?
Aggression cases are my favorite! First we’ll meet virtually over Zoom or Google Meet. This allows me to get a thorough history of the dog's behaviors without stressing you or your dog out and avoids any risk of harm or injury. Once I feel confident that you have solid management in place, I typically move into working together in person.
Do you offer packages?
No, I don’t offer packages. However, booking multiple sessions at a time is something I usually recommend to my clients, as it allows for more consistent progress towards your goals. While it's always possible to book sessions individually, keep in mind that the time in between sessions can be quite long (4-6 weeks) unless you opt to book multiple sessions at once.
When is payment due for booking training sessions?
Payment is due at the time of booking.
When is payment due for board & train?
A $100 nonrefundable deposit is due at the time of booking. The rest of the payment is due on the 1st of the month prior to boarding. For example, if boarding in June, full payment is due by May 1st.
Do you offer refunds?
No, all fees are nonrefundable.
What if I need to reschedule my session?
There may be a small rescheduling fee.
Is board and train right for my dog?
Board and train programs can be a convenient option for dog owners who are short on time or lack the necessary skills to train their pets. However, it's important to understand that these programs also have their limitations. For one, dogs may not be able to generalize the training they receive in an unfamiliar environment to their home setting. Additionally, a lack of owner involvement can make it difficult for dogs to learn how to behave appropriately around their owners and in their own homes. I don’t think virtual training sessions will be effective. How do they work?
Virtual dog training sessions have become increasingly popular due to their numerous benefits. Participating in virtual dog training sessions from the comfort of your own home is highly convenient, as it eliminates the need for travel and allows me to assist you promptly. Moreover, virtual sessions are more affordable and are fantastic for dogs that are fearful or aggressive towards strangers. Additionally, virtual sessions can help reduce stress for both you and your dog, as you can work on training in a familiar and comfortable environment. Virtual training also allows for more flexibility in scheduling, making it easier to fit into our busy schedules. With the help of a qualified trainer like me, virtual sessions can be just as effective as in-person training sessions.
